OK, so I lied...
OK, so I lied. My own home is NOT finished as I announced flippantly in my last post. I've started 'faffing' again. It's that whole thing of "no sooner do you think everything looks good, you are inclined to start again", and so it goes on!
As our house is a new build we just splashed white paint on all the walls in a desperate bid to get moved in. This week, with my elder daughter back from Uni, I'm hoping to get a 'Pavement Grey' en-suite bathroom! She has done her own bathroom on her last visit home so fingers crossed she's going to tackle mine. It's a fair trade for all the washing she will appear with!
Want my advice on this? Move something upstairs!!
The gorgeous wreath from the front door can move upstairs to my bathroom. I'm all for lengthening the life of things and moving them to less prominent places if they are slightly losing their edge. Jugs of lavender rotate round our house annually as I replace downstairs each Summer. So now I'm looking for a eucalyptus wreath for the front door. I will be popping to 'Coco in the Country' in Nettleham to see what she can make me. Like I said, forever faffing.
Customers often come into the shop and tell me that they love a particular item but don't have anywhere to put it. Want my advice on this? Move something upstairs!!
On the other hand, we get many customers that fall in love with a Pig & Poke item and purchase it with no idea where it's going to go in their own home. They just have to have it.
Update on the Home Design front:
My client came today to look at our living space at home. She has gone away buzzing with ideas. We are going to make her a bespoke island from scaffold boards, source and fit blinds, order a white wood-look wallpaper and of course create an individual style with Pig & Poke lamps, furniture and decorative items.
It's a new venture that is going to prove mutually rewarding for the client and me. I'm extremely excited to be offering this new service!
Thanks for reading!
